Testimonials
Caoimhe Boyle
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre – 1st Year
“We all came into this course at different levels in all disciplines, some having more experience at dance, some at singing, some with not much experience at all. However, we are all progressing rapidly on our own journey, and it is amazing to get to watch others get better and better every week. I find myself learning so much about the art of musical theatre and also about myself, and strengths I never knew I had.”

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre – 2020 Graduate
The first time I stepped in ACD was a mix of anxiety, excitement and joy. I had just come out of challenging years trying to save enough to be able to afford education as an aspiring Musical Theatre Actor. I had been on a plane for about 16 hours before stepping in Ireland and that was also an adventure in itself, but once I got my first tour inside the building, I felt that the real journey had only begun. Being taught by professionals in the industry was definitely helpful and the way I was welcomed definitely made the difference, being an international student, Latino, Brazilian and Portuguese speaker, brought up new challenges both for me and the faculty which was very opened and caring to be able to guide me along the way throughout my years in the college. As a performer I was pushed to my limits and received many opportunities to practice my craft and not only be seen but also be heard around the country, I was able to perform in most of the best venues not only in Dublin but also in Cork, Wexford, Belfast and Florida.

“At ACD I was treated and valued as a person and not just another number. I was allowed and encouraged to explore outside of my chosen discipline. The close, personal experience I received was one that prepared me for life beyond education.”

Music/Vocal Studies
Teaching in the Performing Arts faculty of the first and most enriched musical theatre course in Ireland has a certain level of responsibility that inspires me and hopefully my students every day. Many students after fourth year are signed within months to agents in London and this is a testament to the incredible home grown talent in Ireland and the unique, world-class training at the American College, Dublin.
