Abby Doherty

Spotlight

Abby Doherty is a 4th Year Musical Theatre student. Her college credits include Lady Bracknell in ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’, Katriona in ‘Widows’, Sally/Debbie/Christina in ‘Scenes From A Small Town Window’, and Andrew Aguecheek in ‘Twelfth Night’. She will play the role of Mary in American College Dublin’s upcoming production of ‘Merrily We Roll Along’. She has performed as a featured soloist in concerts with the college. Outside of ACD, Abby trained with LAMDA, receiving distinctions in all of her exams including Grade 8 Acting.

Andrew Farrell

Spotlight

Andrew is a multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter. He recorded his debut album at 18 and his Christmas album soon after and his recently released album ‘Centre Stage’. Andrew performs regularly in Spain and he is currently in his fourth year in the BFA in Musical Theatre at American College Dublin. He has been involved in musical theatre from a very young age, treading the boards of the Gaiety Theatre Dublin at the tender age of four. Andrew’s college credits include Prince Charming in “Into the Woods”, Orsino/Toby Belch in Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’, and The Captain from Dorfman’s “Widows”. He most recently played professor Fritz Bhaer in ACD’s production of ‘Little Women’ in DLR Mill Theatre, Dundrum.

Megan Pottinger

Spotlight

Megan is 24 years old and was the first to receive the AIMS/ACD Performing Arts Scholarship in 2019. Some of her most notable performances include playing the role of Emily in Brian Byrne and Kasey Jones’ original musical ‘Angel of Broadway’ in the National Concert Hall in 2019. She has also played Puck in Castle Lake Festival’s production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and Maura in the short film ‘Sequah’ written by Billy Roche, both in 2021. In her third year at ACD she played Viola in their production of ‘Twelfth Night’ directed by Pete McCamley and performed the roles of Isaac, Linda, Dominic, Emer and Aoife in ‘Scenes from a Small Town Window’. Megan excited to pursue a career in performance after graduating and cannot wait to share the stage once again with her fellow classmates.

Aoife Shalvey

Spotlight

4th year Musical Theatre student, Aoife’s past roles with American College Dublin include Alexandra in ‘Widows’ and Malvolio in ‘Twelfth Night’. Aoife Shalvey played the roles of Ellen, Bridie and Helen in ‘Scenes From a Small Town Window’. She will be portraying Mary Flynn in ACD’s upcoming production of ‘Merrily We Roll Along’ in May.

Abbigail Carr

Spotlight

Abbigail Carr is a 4th year Performing Arts student at the American College Dublin. Her credits include Sebastian in Twelfth Night and Teresa in Windows. Abbigail was stage manager for Scenes from a Small Town Window.
